Dominic Calvert-Lewin Agents Disputes Reports that the Everton Striker has Agreed to Join Another club.
The agency for Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin has disputed reports that the player has already agreed to terms with another Premier League team.
Arsenal and West Ham are reportedly interested in signing the England international this summer.
According to reports, the Toffees are prepared to let Calvert-Lewis leave in order to cash in.
Earlier this week, speculation swirled that the 25-year-old had already decided to join another Premier League club, with Arsenal rumored to be interested in signing him ahead of next season.
However, his agency refuted those allegations, stating that his client remains committed to Everton and their fight to remain in the Premier League.
‘Dominic has not reached an agreement with any club,’ his agent said.
‘He is now putting in a lot of effort in training and is totally committed to helping Everton end the season strongly.’
Calvert-Lewin began the season by scoring in each of his first three league games, but he was subsequently sidelined for an extended period with a fractured toe and has yet to score since his return.
Everton’s season has deteriorated rapidly, with the club currently sitting just three points above the relegation zone and, despite having two games in hand on Watford, their position remains fragile.
Recent sources suggest that the Toffees may be prepared to accept less than their initial £60 million asking price.
Arsenal are keen to improve their attacking options, even more so now that Eddie Nketiah’s contract expires at the end of June.
Alexandre Lacazette’s current deal is also coming to an end, although he may be offered a one-year extension.
Meanwhile, West Ham wanted to recruit Calvert-Lewin in January but were unable to meet Everton’s £60 million asking price.
They could, however, rekindle their interest if Everton’s valuation is reduced. Calvert-Lewin scored 16 league goals last season, up from 13 the year before. His contract with Everton expires in the summer of 2025, but he may be allowed to leave as manager Frank Lampard attempts to restructure his squad.
