Dutch midfielder Donny van de Beek has revealed that his training with the Red Devils includes several games of darts before hitting the ball.

Donny van de Beek thinks things have been tough at Old Trafford since the completion of the 2020 transfer from Ajax, with 53 appearances for Manchester United, as starting berths were in short supply. The Netherlands midfielder also spent time on loan at Everton, but Van de Beek is doing everything he can to keep his body and mind sharp – with the process including another sport that is very popular at home.
The Dutch national team player spoke on the Red Devils official website about how he prepares for training, what his morning routine is… According to Donny van de Beek, they wake up, most of the time they have training, so he goes straight to the training ground, breakfast, and then a nice coffee after.
The Dutchman likes to drink coffee and stay awake a little and then they have a workout before they go to the gym and do get ready. Donny van de Beek says they play some darts, they have darts and also in the club so they play a few games with some people and then they practice.
Donny is a countryman of world darting champions such as Raymond van Barneveld and Michael van Gerwen and has also claimed that his superpower of choice would refer to the ability to ooh, saying “Superpower? That’s a good question.” According to Donny van de Beek, he enjoys watching darts as well as outside of football, so being a top darts player would be nice!
