Leipzig and Dortmund Borussia played for the DFB Pokal title. It was the final game and all the eyes in Germany were towards this game.

Intense game from Erling Haaland and Sancho

As you may know, Sancho and Erling Haaland are the main attackers of the team. Leipzig’s coach announced that the defensive line will keep a close eye on those players but they failed. Leipzig’s defensive line failed hard because Both players scored two goals in the match. Jadon Sancho scored two goals in the first half and made it easy for fans to believe in the title chances. Erling Haaland also scored two goals but in both halves. Keep in mind that Dortmund took a three goal lead in the first half and it was obvious that the team could lift the cup title after the game.

A little bit luck

Marco Rues, the captain of Dortmund said that the team was a little bit lucky in the second half. He said that Leipzig started playing with high intensity and the defensive line could not react properly. Marco admitted that Leipzig had few real chances for scoring before the goal came from Olmo. Dani Olmo scored a goal in the middle of the second half and in that moment, Julian Nagelsmann got a hope for the title. Not so long took Dortmund to get back to three goals lead. Jadon Sancho was attacking from the right side and he passed to Erling Haaland. Norwegian youngster took the ball and scored a beautiful goal.

Julian Nagelsmann was not satisfied after the game. He was very disappointed and noted that Dortmund Borussia was very lucky. They had only three moments in the first half and scored all of them. Nagelsmann said that Dortmund scored literally in every attacking line. The character and spirit was up in the second half for Leipzig because they attacked more and even scored a goal to start come-back but again, the defensive line could not react properly against Dortmund’s counter-attacks.
