French soccer player Kurt Zouma, who remains embroiled in scandal amid a shocking video of him attacking his cat, was a late withdrawal at the King Power Stadium.

A little about the topic

The Frenchman was pulled out of West Ham’s squad for their PL clash with Leicester City on Sunday after he felt unwell during warm-ups, amid continued dropouts of him abusing one of his pet cats. Kurt Zouma was seen slapping and kicking an animal in a video that got circulated before Tuesday’s match with Watford, with Moyes still starting Defender in this game amid widespread furor. Kurt was named in the starting XI for driving the Hammers to the King Power Stadium, only to be pulled out of the team on short notice.

News broke that Kurt had been pulled out of David Moyes’ roster on short notice when the club released a short message on social media less than a quarter of an hour before kick-off. West Ham wrote that Diop would replace Zouma in the starting XI as he was not feeling well. Rendolph added to the bench.

After the game ended in a 2-2 draw, David Moyes said that Kurt Zouma was sick before the game, wanted to play, they wanted him to play too. Zouma was sick at night, stayed away from the players and didn’t eat much. According to David, once Kurt went out to warm up, he didn’t think it was possible. they told Diop to be ready. It’s a stomach bug, probably what he ate.

What did David Moyes say?

David’s choice to pitch Kurt – despite condemnation of the player’s actions – caused significant repercussions around the London Stadium, with sponsorship deals suspended for both the player and the club. David spoke of giving the former Chelsea man a second chance after his actions, while the RSPCA – which took Kurt’s cats into custody following the incident – denied claims that the club had donated to their cause.

David addresses the ongoing controversy after the game, saying he hopes they’ve changed the way West Ham is perceived a bit, but more on the pitch. They have a good, exciting young team that they are trying to improve.

According to Moyes, West Ham did a great job in the East End of London, young supporters came in and a lot of good things were done. they shouldn’t let something like that ruin what’s going on. A mistake has been made and there are managers with players who have made a mistake. they want to feel that there is forgiveness and apology.
