The Italian side travels to England for the first leg semifinal Europa league tie with two recent Red Devils outcasts. Chris Smalling and Henrikh Mkhitaryan will reunite with the former club on Thursday night as opponents.

Ahead of this season’s Europa League crucial Semi-finals first leg, Dzeko and his side Roma head to Old Trafford.

Recently, Dzeko said, “There have been a lot of highs and lows this season. I had some tough times personally due to a lot of things but I don´t like to look back. What happened happened.

“We need to look forward. We´re in the semifinals, which a lot of people didn´t expect. We´ve got to enjoy ourselves because it´s not every week that you get to play at Old Trafford.”

The ‘Theater of Dreams’ isn’t a new place to Dzeko. He knows exactly what it means to visit United as an opponent.

“Since I left Manchester City six years ago, I´ve never been back,” Dzeko said.

“It will be a special game for me since it was a derby for me until a few years ago,’ he added.

However, Dzeko won’t be the only familiar face at Old Trafford with Smalling and midfielder Mkhitaryan lining up for the return.

The former United defender Smalling will reunite with the Red Devils for the first time since he left the club. While Mkhi had a spell at Arsenal before Roma, he will be looking to prove what United failed to notice

According to Smalling, he hopes many big games come. “It´s no secret that I´ve missed a lot of games this season, which is unusual for me, but coming into this game I´m feeling fit and ready to contribute.

“I don´t think there could be many bigger games to play in,” Smalling said.
