Fans are not happy with Eden Hazard’s progress. He has been in and out of shape due to injury. It’s understandable but still fans are not happy with the outcome.

Eden Hazard is not progressing as it scheduled

Despite Carlo Ancelotti’s warnings that the days of Eden Hazard playing more than one game in a row were over, there is still a modicum of surprise at the fact the Belgian is still struggling to leave his mark on the Real Madrid team, and his stats against Osasuna make for devastating reading. Having lost his place as a starter under the Italian coach, the former Chelsea star is expected to make a difference off the bench, but he is simply not responding. The Belgian entered the game in the 69th minute alongside Lucas Vazquez and Marcelo as Los Blancos searched for their opening goal.

Game against Osasuna was not his best

What was extremely alarming was that it was eight minutes before Hazard even touched the ball, and his first act was a cross then went straight into the legs of a defender, causing no danger to the Osasuna backline. For a player who used to take Premier League matches and win them on his own, it was startling how Hazard would only touch the ball eight more times over the course of his 25-minute cameo. There was nothing extravagant, nothing game changing, it was merely touch and pass, and his positional sense seemed a little off as well. Marcelo’s impact on proceedings did little to help Hazard’s struggles either, with it clear just how much more of an impact the left-back was having than the forward. Eden Hazard still has a chance to influence Los Blancos’ season success. If Real Madrid wins La liga or Champions League and Eden would be the main star, he will get a chance for next season too. It’s the very last chance for Eden Hazard.
