UEFA plans to hold two video conferences on April 21 and 23. European football bosses will meet with representatives of 55 member states on Tuesday and a “meeting” of the UEFA Executive Committee on Thursday.

Former Manchester United star Edwin Van de Sar claims that UEFA has changed its attitude towards the renewal of the season.

The end of the season is still a priority. But according to the Dutchman, UEFA has softened its position on the middle and lower-level European championships. Before, when UEFA ended its season prematurely, the clubs of this country were threatened with exclusion from the European Cups. But now this organization will give more freedom to each country.

One thing is clear – the TOP 5 European Championship (Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A, and League 1) needs to be renewed.

Instead, leagues such as the Belgian Jupiler League or the Scottish Premier League will most likely end. Bruges will be declared the champion in Belgium and Celtic in Scotland. They also want to end the season in the Netherlands.

“Edervisie should be announced finished.”

Edwin van der Sar: “I’ve talked to a lot of UEFA representatives. I can say that there is a good relationship between us. Nevertheless, our goal is unchanged – Eredivisie should be announced finished immediately so that the clubs can get the money.”

Edwin van der Sar, 49, is the Ajax sporting director of Amsterdam and will guard the doors of Ajax, Juventus, Fulham and Manchester United throughout his career.
