The Brazilian player’s time at the Camp Nou was fleeting, having only joined from Betis in June for nine million euros. Emerson started his first Barcelona game on Sunday against Getafe and has featured in all three of the team’s La Liga Santander games this season. The 22-year-old spent two-and-a-half years at Betis after joining from Atletico Mineiro in January 2018 for 12 million euros, of which Barcelona put up six million euros.
