Emerson Royal was the victim of an armed robbery
Emerson Royal had a harsh experience while on holiday in his home country earlier this week.
How was it?
A Brazilian player was the target of an armed robbery of a horror film at a party in Brazil earlier this week. The player’s father stated that the attacker probably fired 20 shots. The Tottenham star was enjoying a summer break at home following the 2021-22 PL season, hyping up at a local nightclub when an incident occurred that left him reeling but unharmed. The assailant was allegedly hit by a bullet during the skirmish and taken to a nearby hospital.
The Brazilian was leaving a party with friends and family early Friday morning when he stopped to take a photo and sign an autograph for a police officer. The player was then allegedly approached by a man holding a gun, who demanded that the property be handed over to him. It is alleged that the policeman then drew his weapon, distributing more than 20 shots, one of which reportedly hit the Brazilian in the back, forcing him to undergo treatment in the hospital. Royal reportedly visited the police station after the incident and informed local authorities that he was fine.
What did the player’s father say?
Royal, who made 41 appearances for the Spurs last season after joining them from Barcelona, said it was a tough moment but he’s stepping back for now and will be back after that. The player’s father, Emerson de Souza, said that he was celebrating and on the way out the whole affair happened, which was very bad. Horror scene indeed. He doesn’t want this for anyone.
According to De Souza, the police officer went as usual with Emerson Royal to the car, and when he realized that there was a robbery and the criminal pointed a gun at Royal, while the criminal was distracted, the policeman began to exchange shots with him. Everything happened very quickly, there were probably 20 shots. The player’s father says there were about five or six people with him. Everyone went sideways, dodging because they didn’t know where the shots were coming from.
