Before Sunday’s opening game of the World Cup, the English team and their coach Gareth Southgate posed for official portraits.

Southgate will be aiming to lead England to a second major tournament final after Euro 2020 when they face Iran in their opening game of the World Cup on Monday.

The manager posed for his portrait in a casual manner, while captain Harry Kane showed off his enthusiasm with a rousing gesture.

England’s World Cup squad, decked out in white jerseys and blue shorts, posed in front of red and gray backdrops and struck a variety of poses, from pointing at their badges to celebrating a victory.

Despite the short turnaround between the Premier League break and the start of the World Cup, the portraits show that the Three Lions camp is all smiles.

On Tuesday, just six days before their match against Iran, England boarded a plane for Qatar. Their group also includes the United States of America and Wales.
