Throughout his career, Haaland has shown that he fits easily into this category, and the Norwegian remains a productive presence in German football.
The dream signing – Erling Haaland
Erling Haaland would be a fantastic signing for the Red Devils, says Luke Chadwick. With the Borussia Dortmund striker considered to have the ability to carry Manchester United over a trophy-winning line. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has put his side in fighting for the Premier League crown this season. Man United are leading their way through 18 games. But few expected them to be scaled to such heights. And they are still viewed by many as work at present. It is believed there is plenty of room for improvement at Old Trafford in the attacking division. With questions about Anthony Martial’s ability to be a 20-goal-season frontman. Throughout his career, Haaland has shown that he fits easily into this category. And the Norwegian remains a productive presence in German football.
The Norwegian will take the team over the title-winning line
Luke would love to see the exciting 20-year-old at Manchester United. But admits the deal is unlikely to be struck anytime soon, despite transfer talk raging around the unique talent. The former Red Devils winger told reporters when asked to choose his dream addition for Man United: “If I could choose anyone, it would be Erling Haaland from BVB. I know Solskjaer had a history with him, he worked with him before that at Molde. If you look at the number of goals he can score. He will take the team over the line and win the Premier League title. But I think the odds are that it will happen in January is very small”. Luke Chadwick added on the need for Solskjaer to add more firepower to his ranks. “I think it’s hard to say if Martial can be replaced because it is obvious that the manager rates him very highly.”
Manchester United haven’t striker who scores more than 20 goals
“He always picks him in big games, and he had a fantastic spell, his best spell he’s ever had in the last season. Haaland showed what he’s capable of. He seems to have the weight of the world on his shoulders when things are going against him. And not the same work ethic as someone like Marcus Rashford has out of possession. For years, everybody has been saying that he has incredible qualities, has a pace, moves well with the ball, and can finish. To win the league, you need an attacker who will score more than 20 goals, and at the moment it does not seem like Manchester have that. I think they need to go out and find a footballer to win them the league, be it a striker or a wide player, someone to give them more X-factor and help them kick on.”
Man United, who drew a gap on their last run against Liverpool. They will be back on the move on Wednesday when they take part in a trip to Fulham.
