Haaland’s biggest dream is to win something with BVB
Erling Haaland said that his dream is to win the silverware with Borussia Dortmund. The Norwegian striker joined Dortmund from RB Salzburg only in January. Still, such has been his form in the Bundesliga that he is already associated with a move, with Manchester City just one of the sides credited with an interest. It’s almost sure that Haaland will move on from BVB at some stage. But he is looking to help the club win trophies first. “My biggest dream right now is to achieve something with Dortmund, and that’s what I work for,” he told reporters. “To try to give this to the club and the fans because everyone in this club deserves this. I will do my best every time I can.”
The Norwegian wants more and more
“The club bought me for a lot of money, and the fans can expect me to give 100 per cent. Achieving something with the BVB is what I work for”. Haaland, who is battling back to fitness after a hamstring injury sustained in training, scored four goals against Hertha Berlin in November. It’s a notable feat for any striker, but Haaland is keen to go even better in the future. “I always want more and more,” said the 20-year-old former Molde forward. “Yes, I scored four goals, but imagine if I scored six? How much better would that be? That’s what I want too”. BVB are currently on a winter break, with the next game against Wolfsburg on January 3.
It is a match that Haaland hopes to be fit for, but things will be different from his last game before the injury in November when he returns to the team. From the moment he entered the treatment room, Haaland saw the Dortmund fire coach Lucien Favre and replaced him with Edin Terzic. Dortmund are fifth in the Bundesliga, eight points behind the leaders Bayern Munich, and are only one win from their last five games in the league. Hopefully, their striker’s return will provide Dortmund with a boost in the second half of the season.
