Norwegian striker Erling Haaland has vowed to deliver even more for the Citizens in 2023 after breaking another Premier League record against the Toffees.

How was everything?

The Norwegian player broke all sorts of records in the first half of the season at Manchester City, including those for the fastest player to reach 20 Premier League goals and the most consecutive hat-tricks in home fixtures. Despite its unprecedented impact, Erling Haaland has promised to get even better in the new year.

Erling posted a video montage ending 2022 on Twitter and wrote: “Hey guys, big year behind me, lots of changes, but most importantly changes for the better.” Haaland thanked for all the love along the way and asked to stick together in 2023. According to him, there is still more to come!

The Norwegian international set another Premier League mark on Saturday when he scored his 21st Man City goal against the Toffees. Erling Haaland has now scored more goals before the turn of the year than any other player in a single English top-flight season, despite missing a month due to the hiatus of the World Cup.

However, it was not positive for Erling when Demarai Gray hit the equalizer for the Toffees, who saw them pull 1-1 at the Etihad Stadium to leave Manchester City seven points behind the Gunners in the title race.

What will happen after that for Haaland?

The Norway national team striker will next be seen in action when Manchester City host the Blues at Stamford Bridge on 5 January.

Haaland

Manchester City head coach issued a warning to Erling Haaland after he saw the player run away with a red card for a reckless tackle on Everton defender Vitaliy Mykolenko.

What did Guardiola say about Erling Haaland?

After giving his team the lead in the 24th minute against the Toffees, Erling received a yellow card for a wild challenge on Mikolenko. Haaland took out his left back from behind and may have been lucky he wasn’t sent away, with the Manchester City Boss pulling him into his part-time demeanor. Pep Guardiola was pleased with Erling’s reaction in the second half, despite the fact that his side was eventually carried to a 1-1 draw by Everton.

Speaking of the tackle after the match, the Manchester City manager told reporters that he was talking to Erling about it. It was a yellow card, definitely. According to Pep Guardiola, with yellow for Erling Haaland he said to be careful because it could be dangerous. They can’t play 10 at 11. Haaland got a little pissed off after what happened in the first action with the ankle. Guardiola says that Erling Haaland reacted well and they had a good game.

A little about the topic
