Tottenham may have to find a replacement for their manager and the person in charge of player transfers in the coming months since Italian prosecutors are attempting to get Fabio Paratici banned from the sport.

In the crisis that is ripping Juventus apart at the moment, Paratici has been fingered as a possible participant. The Italian giants received a point deduction of 15 last week as a result of an ongoing inquiry into the club’s previous practices with player transfers.

Juve is being accused of exaggerating the magnitude of their financial losses between 2018 and 2020. In 2021, the FIGC opened an inquiry into 62 transfers to determine whether or not the valuations of the assets involved had been raised artificially in order to circumvent the regulations governing financial fair play.

Despite Juventus’ denials of any wrongdoing and their confirmation that they will appeal the ruling, it is possible that the charges will have a significant influence on Tottenham.

After working for Juve for 11 years, Paratici began his career in the football industry by joining Spurs in June 2021. However, the Italian Football Federation has now prohibited him from working in the football industry in Italy for a period of 30 months (FIGC). However, in accordance to reports, the FIGC is reportedly intending to further argue for that suspension to be extended over the entirety of Europe.

This would be a devastating blow to Spurs, who are already preparing for the summer departure of Antonio Conte as their head coach. The present agreement that Conte has with the club is set to expire on June 30; however, he is now refusing to contemplate signing a new one due to his displeasure with the club as well as his wish to go back to Italy to be closer to his family.

In the aftermath of Tottenham’s 1-0 victory over Fulham on Monday night, Antonio Conte reiterated that he is “glad” and “proud” to be the manager of Spurs. However, the ambiguity surrounding his status, in addition to Paratici’s, is contributing to the instability that now exists at Spurs.

In order to learn more about what is ahead for Paratici, he will have to sit out until March. Before the FIGC can urge UEFA to extend Paratici’s ban across Europe and FIFA to contemplate a worldwide punishment, they must first wait for the decision of Juventus’ appeal to the Italian Olympic committee, which will be decided by the Italian Olympic committee.

There are only seven days left in the transfer window for the month of January, and the 50-year-old is the man in charge of Tottenham’s transfer policy during this time. After Nuno Espirito Santo was fired as manager, Paratici was the man who helped secure Conte as the new manager. He was also the one who brought Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur to Spurs from Juventus the previous year.

Tottenham is in negotiating with Roma in an attempt to get Nicolo Zaniolo. The winger is now under contract with the Italian side until June of 2024 and is estimated to be worth 35 million pounds.

The crisis that has been brewing at Juventus has been uncovered one piece at a time. In November, the entirety of the board of directors for Juventus resigned, including the president, vice-president, and managing director. The resignations were announced by Andrea Agnelli, Maurizio Arrivabene, and Pavel Nedved. A two-year penalty each has been issued to Agnelli and Arrivabene by the FIGC, while the current sporting director Federico Cherubini has been given a 16-month ban and Nedved has been given an eight-month suspension for their roles in the scandal.
