The Juventus chief, Fabio Paratici sheds light on making a move for the Manchester United fallen star, Pogba, and suggests “we know the price” after agent Raiola’s “it’s over ticking bomb.

Juventus’ chief, Fabio Paratici hinted at trying to seal Paul Pogba in a sensational return to the Turin side while insisting the Serie A giants “love” the midfielder although he knows any deal would be very hard under financial perspectives.

Earlier last week, the midfielder’s agent, Raiola, dropped a bombshell on the eve of United’s biggest match against Leipzig when he announced of the Frenchman’s time at Old Trafford is over.

Pogba has failed to live up to expectations since making his £89million return to United back in 2016 and has come in for plenty of criticism for his inconsistent performances in the heart of midfield.

Continuously, he has been linked with a move to Real Madrid or a return to Juventus where Raiola claimed: “he can come back to Turin”.

As a result, Juve’s sporting director has weighed in on the matter, insisting the Italian giants have massive admiration for the French World Cup winner but know a transfer would come at a hefty price.

According to Paratici, “Pogba back to Juve? We love Paul. He is an amazing player but he’s playing for Manchester United now”.

“He’ll not be a free agent. You’ve to pay if you want to sign Pogba. We know so well of his value and the price. So we will see what happens”.

Although Pogba has scored twice in United’s last two games, it appears his time at Old Trafford is over four years after making his then world-record move from Juventus.

“I can say that it’s over for Paul Pogba at Manchester United,” Raiola informed the Italian newspaper Tuttosport.

“He has to change teams; he has to change the air. He has a contract that will expire in a year and a half, in the summer of 2022, but I believe the best solution for the parties is to sell in the next market”.

“Otherwise, the club, with whom relations are excellent, knows well that they would risk losing him on a free transfer, given that for the moment it is not the player’s intention to extend the contract”.
