Dusan Vlahovic saw the summer transfer to the Premier League controversial, with Tottenham and Liverpool among his quibbles, he said, but Fiorentina is building a new contract for the in-demand striker.

What did the director of Fiorentina say?

The 21-goal featured in Serie A last season caught the attention of Europe’s top clubs. Dusan is already linked to the deal until 2023, but La Viola is looking to secure new terms that will allow for withdrawal negotiations and unwanted attention from England. Joe Barone – Director of Fiorentina told reporters when asked about the plans for the transfer window in Florence that they are following the team as it is and after pre-season preparation they will see what they need to bring. Dusan Vlahovic is a Fiorentina player with a two-year contract and is constantly working with his agent to renew.

Why is Dusan Vlahovic so in demand?

A player with a lot of potential yet to be unlocked is considered a hot prospect for the present and future. Only three players scored more goals in the Italian top flight last season – Ronaldo of Juve -29, Inter star Romelu Lukaku – 24 and Atalanta frontman Luis Muriel – 22. This comeback made him a desirable man, with qualities considered ideal for the Premier League – as a tall striker who is also good at kicking.

Tottenham is said to view the Serb as the perfect replacement for Harry Kane, as England’s prolific international sees a lot of money drifting away from the speculated north London. Liverpool are also mulling bids to bring another scorer to their books, with an alternative to Roberto Firmino looking. Arsenal have also been on the hunt for Dusan Vlahovic at one stage, but the Gunners seem to have turned their attention elsewhere in search of new recruits.
