Newcastle is ready to flex their muscles in the upcoming transfer market as four Manchester United stars top the Magpies “transfer Wishlist”.
Newcastle is under new ownership and the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman, is the man behind the Saudi Public Investment Fund. Contrary, Amanda Staveley will be the person in charge of making decisions at the club.
This season, Newcastle has been struggling for form and currently sits second-bottom in the Premier League. However, they are expected to splash some considerable cash when the transfer window opens in January as they have already been linked with a handful of top-drawer players.
Drawing from reports, there are four Manchester United stars who are on Newcastle’s radar ahead of January. The reports go further to claim that the out-of-favor Anthony Martial is on the list with the France international considering his options after falling down the pecking order at Old Trafford after the signing of Jadon Sancho and Cristiano Ronaldo this summer.
Allegedly, Jesse Lingard is reported to be another Man United player Newcastle is interested in. The England star set the Premier League alight last season when he joined West Ham United on loan for half a year. However, the midfielder has found game time harder to come by once again upon his return to Old Trafford.
Newcastle United is not only interested in attacking players but also has an interest in center-backs. For this reason, reports also suggest that the out-of-favor center-back Eric Bailly is on the Magpies Wishlist as well. Bailly may be signed to bolster the Magpies’ defense.
Consequently, the final player linked with Newcastle is Donny van de Beek, who has not had a consistent run in the Manchester United squad since joining in a £30million transfer from Ajax in 2020.
