Former USMNT player Freddy Adu has recommended the Red Devils sign US national team player Sergino Dest, who is currently on loan from Barca in Milan.

What did Adu say about Sergino Dest?

Freddy, who was on trial with Manchester United in 2006 at just 16 years old, thinks Sergino Dest would be a good fit for Old Trafford. Manchester United head coach Erik ten Hag is reportedly in the market for right-back Diogo Dalot and the former USMNT player feels Sergino would fit the bill perfectly, admitting that Man Utd needs some quality.

The American attacking midfielder said he thinks Sergino Dest would be a great signing for Man Utd – the way he plays he is so good in his position and with the current state of the red devils right now they need as many good players as they can get . According to Freddy Adu, the team is not quite the Manchester United they heard about.

Adu says they are still playing well and getting better and better, but they are far from the Red Devils they come to remember. Freddy hopes he will go there as the American thinks that Sergino Dest will help the team a lot.

A little about the topic

Portuguese right-back Diogo Dalot appears to be the Dutch manager’s favorite full-back choice, while Aaron Wan-Bissaka, a previous steelmaker during Solskjaer’s tenure, only managed four minutes of football this season and now looks redundant for demands at the club . With a January transfer unlikely given Sergino Dest’s season-long loan deal with Man Utd, Milan could make a move for the American player this summer.

US National Team player Sergino Dest was selected by Gregg Berhalter on his USMNT roster to play in Qatar. On Monday, the Stars and Stripes have their 2022 World Cup campaign against Wales.
