French journalists say that Mbappe already negotiated the personal contract with Los Blancos. The Madrid club is waiting for the big star in the summer 2022.
Singing for Real Madrid as a star
Few players can claim to have won the World Cup when barely 20 years old – and to have played a key role in helping them qualify, progress and lift the trophy. But the feat is just one in the list of Kylian Mbappe’s achievements. The French striker is now 60 days away from entering the final six months of his contract with PSG – when that moment arrives, he will be free to sign for Real Madrid.
French player dreams of Olympic medal
It will also be a moment for him to start planning future goals, with the national team and with Real Madrid. And to reach some of those goals he must impose certain conditions. Mbappe has his heart set on representing France at the 2014 Olympic Games which will have special significance for him as it will be held in Paris. He will be 25 years old when the Games come around. Last week, in a letter published in L’Équipe to mark 1,000 days in the countdown to the Olympics, Kylian expressed his desire to be a part of it. He would have liked to have been with the France team that took part in the Tokyo Olympics last summer, but “they cut the grass from under my feet” he said in reference to PSG’s refusal to let him go to Japan. His contract could include a clause or some kind of agreement which would guarantee that Madrid would free him to take part in the Olympics, which start on 25 July – right in the middle of the pre-season and just a few weeks after Euro 2024 finishes in Germany. France’s men’s team have not been on an Olympic podium since Los Angeles 1984 when they won the gold medal.
