India will face Pakistan in an epic encounter on October 15 at prestigious Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The match between the arch-rivals is considered as one of the most hyped games in any tournament but former India captain Sourav Ganguly believes that the clash between these two hasn’t produced much quality over the years. He told Star sports that India has been winning one sided matches against Pakistan for the past few years. Ganguly said “there has been a lot of hype around this match but the quality produced by the matches hasn’t been good as India have been winning one-sided matches consistently. However, Pakistan defeated India for the first time in the T20 World Cup in 2021.

The last clash between India and Pakistan was in the T20 World Cup of 2022. The match went till the very last ball, and India won a thrilling four-wicket win in Melbourne. In the 2021 T20 World Cup, Pakistan defeated India by 10 wickets. Emphasizing further on the same, Ganguly feels that India’s encounter with Australia produces better quality cricket. He said, “India didn’t perform well in the 2021 T20 World Cup, but according to me, India vs Australia will be a better game in the World Cup because of the quality they produce.
