Gareth Bale gives little back when it comes to his future plans, and the Wales internationally responds to retirement reports by being on the cards, saying he doesn’t want to cause drama ahead of this summer’s European Championship.
Gareth Bale only focuses on the euro
The 31-year-old doubled up on claims that disclosing his intentions at this stage, ahead of his return to Real Madrid after a period back in Tottenham for a season loan, would cause unnecessary chaos. His reluctance to get involved in this debate, however, only serves to keep the zipper at the mill, with her speculation that he might hang up his boots once the contract in Spain comes to an end in 2022.
Speaking about retiring while on duty at Euro 2020 with his country, Gareth told reporters that it is obvious that a lot has been written about whether or not he does it. The main thing for Gareth is that he doesn’t want to say anything that will cause more chaos or drama or cause distraction. Bale just wants to focus on this Euro and does not want to say anything that could cause any problems with what he does or does not do. Bale focuses only on the euro. When the euro is finished for them then he will sit down and decide what he wants to do.
Gareth isn’t sure what the near future holds
Maybe Gareth Bale’s role in Real Madrid next season, as Zidane, the man who took him to freeze at Santiago Bernabeu, stepped down as head coach. A permanent return to the Spurs has also been discussed, after hitting 16 goals in 2020-21, but the heavyweights of the Premier League are yet another one to hit the market for a new manager. Gareth is left in limbo, and the Welshman admits that he is not entirely sure what the near future holds.
