On May 21st (Sunday), Royal Challengers Bangalore  played their last league stage match against Gujarat Titans at the Chinnaswamy stadium, The match was do or die for them as they needed to win it for qualifying in playoffs, but unfortunately RCB lost the match and Mumbai Indians got the final spot in the playoffs. Millions of fans were left heartbroken by their franchise’s defeat.

Kohli posted a heartfelt message

Two days after the defeat, Virat Kohli posted a heartfelt message for RCB fans, and Shubman Gill, who shattered their dream of qualifying with his exceptional performance also commented on the post in a great way. The scenario on the last day of the league stage was that RCB needed the final win if Mumbai Indians defeat Sunrisers in their final match. MI managed to secure the victory against SRH, and it became mandatory for RCB to win their match against GT.

RCB thanked all the fans

Gujarat won the toss and chose to field, and while batting first RCB managed to put a score of 197 on board. We saw an epic century from Virat’s bat that day, as he made 101 runs out of 61 balls. In the second innings Shubman Gill also scored a century for Gujarat, and RCB lost the match by six wickets. A day after the loss, Virat posted a Thank You message for fans and wrote ”A season which had it’s moments but unfortunately we fell short of the goal. Disappointed but we must hold our heads high. To our loyal supporters, grateful for backing us every step of the way. We aim to be back stronger. @royalchallengersbangalore”.

Gill commented in a respected way

Shubman Gill also commented on the post using emoticons of crown because Virat Kohli is called The King. GT had their qualifier match against CSK yesterday in which they had to suffer defeat. Gill will now focus on the second qualifier of IPL 2023 which is to be played in Hyderabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium, meanwhile Kohli will prepare for the World Test Championship final, which is going to be held in London next month.

LSG vs MI tonight

The Eliminator of IPL 2023 will be played today between Lucknow Super Giants and Mumbai Indians. Both the teams are very strong and whichever of them will win tonight has to face Gujarat Titans in qualifier 2. After KL Rahul’s injury Krunal Pandya has been leading the team as captain, whereas Mumbai is being led by Rohit Sharma. Today’s match is very important for both teams because the loser will be out of the tournament while the other gets a chance to play in the qualifier.
