Mesut Ozil’s transfer to Fenerbahçe has been decided. The 32-year-old German is a fan of the Istanbul club.

Mesut Ozil’s non-playing period is over. The 32-year-old has terminated his contract with Arsenal in London and will continue his career at Fenerbahce in Istanbul. It is noteworthy that the German midfielder posted a photo of Fenerbahce colors on the social network.

Ozil is a fan of Fener, and he seems very happy with this transfer. As he said, he will do everything for the team. Mesut will arrive in Turkey, undergo a medical examination and sign a contract.

“I am very happy and excited. I am a Fenerbahce fan. As a fan, God has given me the opportunity to wear this T-shirt. I will do my best to succeed. I will arrive in Istanbul with my family tonight. The flight schedule is unknown, but I will be here tonight,” said Ozil.

Mesut Ozil grew up in Germany and started playing football there as well. He played for Schalke in 2006-2008 and then defended the honor of Werder Bremen (2007-2011) and Real Madrid (2011-2014).

Mesut joined Arsenal in the summer of 2013 and scored 44 goals in 254 appearances for the English team. The German player has not played since March 2020 because Michel Arteta was not in the plans and the Spanish coach rejected him. Ozil played 23 times in 92 games for the German national team in 2009-2018 and won the 2014 World Cup.
