Arsenal player Granit Xhaka spoke of his pride and determination to do more after reaching 200 league appearances for the Gunners against Nottingham Forest on Sunday.

What did Granit Xhaka say?

The Gunners pulled off a comfortable 5-0 win over Nottingham Forest on Sunday, marking the Swiss player’s 200th Premier League appearance for the club. After the game, Granit Xhaka talked about what this milestone meant to him and warned that he wasn’t done yet.

The captain of the Swiss national team said that two hundred Premier League games for this amazing football club make him proud. According to Granit Xhaka, this makes him proud of himself, of his teammates, of the staff he has had over the past seven years.

The Swiss feels right at home, so he hopes there’s more. Two hundred games, they can’t make it from today to tomorrow. Granit Xhaka says it takes a lot of hard work, a lot of discipline, a lot of people have been involved around him for the past seven years and in the end it’s hard work.

A little about Granit Xhaka

Switzerland national team player Granit Xhaka has been a steelworker for Mikel Arteta’s side this season, starting every Premier League game. The story of Granit’s redemption for Arsenal is notable given that he confessed to having his bags packed to leave the Emirates before the Spaniard’s arrival. The Gunners now look to be perhaps the only side able to keep up with the Citizens this season.

The Swiss midfielder has missed just 17 minutes of Premier League action all season – 15 of which have come at Forest.

There is no respite for Granit and the Gunners. Arsenal take on Zurich in the Europa League on Thursday before heading through the capital to Chelsea in a huge Premier League clash on Sunday.
