Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Titans came head to head for the 51st match of the current season of the Indian Premier League. It was nail biting match that ended in Mumbai’s favour.

Batting first, MI scored 177 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. While chasing, Gujarat Titans could only manage 172 runs in 20 overs for the loss of 5 wickets and Mumbai, the bottom team of the points table, defeated table topper Gujarat by 5 runs.

For Mumbai Indians, who have been out of the tournament, now winning or losing in any match does not matter. But against Gujarat, Mumbai fought for its reputation. It was started by openers Rohit Sharma and Ishaan Kishan. The pair of Rohit and Kishan added 74 runs for the first wicket. After that Rohit 43 and Ishan got out for 45. Tilak Verma played an innings of 21 runs while Pollard returned to the pavilion for 4 runs. In the end, Tim David scored 44 runs in 21 balls which included four sixes and two fours. Thanks to this MI scored 177 runs.

Gujarat Titans missed the mark by five runs Gujarat Titans. Openers Wriddhiman Saha and Shubman Gill gave the team a tremendous start. Saha scored 55 runs in 40 balls which included six fours and two sixes. While Gill scored 52 runs in 36 balls. After this Hardik Pandya was dismissed after scoring 24 runs. At the same time, Miller’s innings ended in 19 runs. Tewatia was run out after scoring 3 runs. Whereas Rashid Khan could only score one run.
