Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has hailed his summer target Erling Haaland as top class, claims he is ‘almost unstoppable’.

Guardiola’s side is one of the top European clubs chasing the signature of the Borussia Dortmund star. He confirmed that City are looking to sign the star in their bid to bolster their attacking.
According to Pep Guardiola, Erling Haaland is already a top player and will get even better in the future. The Norwegian is no doubt a sensation upfront in Europe with his 12 goals in 14 Champions League appearances.
Speaking after the Champions League duel with Dortmund, Guardiola claims that handling Haaland is ‘almost unstoppable’.
“I would say this player is almost unstoppable and the best way to defend against these talented players is to not let them have the ball,” Guardiola said.
“They want the ball, they need the ball so don’t [let them] have it. For that, we need to play good and try to let him live away from our box. It happened in both games,” he added.
“He is a player not [just] because he is fast, the quality of his first control. How he links with his mates, strong in the air, and good finishing. He’s a top-class player, top class, and will be stronger in the future,” Guardiola praised Haaland.
Meanwhile, Phil Foden, who fired Manchester City into a Champions League semi-final, has challenged Kylian Mbappe. The young City strike has challenged Mbappe on a tweet.
“[Mbappe] are you ready,” Foden tweeted shortly after full-time in Germany.
Foden assumed the mantel of the City legend David Silva, executing it in style. Despite the player’s potential, praises have gone to his Manager Pep Guardiola his mentorship.
“Pep Guardiola’s management of Phil Foden has been perfect,” crowed one popular football account.
“It wasn’t so long ago that people were questioning whether or not he would get first-team minutes and now, at 20, he’s an absolutely pivotal cog in their first-team. It’s not all down to their bank balance.”
