Chelsea officially confirmed that Hakim Ziyech would sign for London Blues in summer. Hakim has been playing for Ajax Amsterdam for a few years already.
Chelsea’s first big deal in two years
As you may know, Chelsea had serious problems related to transfer windows. Uefa has banned Chelsea from signing footballers. Chelsea was banner for two previous transfers’ windows. As of now, the ban is over, and Chelsea officials can sign a footballer. Unfortunately, players can’t join the London team right now because it’s already the mid-season.
Frank Lampard is doing everything with the current squad. As mentioned above, Chelsea can’t renew the team for the last two transfer windows, so Frankie was playing with the same team for a few months already. Although there were no new players in summer, Chelsea is in the top four positions of the Premier League. Frank Lampard’s team has shown excellent performances against leaders of the Premier League already. As of now, Chelsea is in the top four and has a chance to get right for next season’s Champions League group stage. Manchester United is the main competitor for Frankie, so that those teams will have serious competition until the end of the season.
Hakim Ziyech would be a perfect signing for Chelsea
As you may know, journalists believe that Hakim was ready for Real Madrid or Barcelona. Ajax Amsterdam was an ideal team in the previous season. Unfortunately, Amsterdam club could only win the domestic league and was eliminated from the semi-final of the Champions League. Hakim Ziyech was the leading player in the attacking line.
Real Madrid and other big teams were interested in Hakim in the summer of 2019. Unfortunately to Hakim, none of the teams signed him in summer. Ziyech could not leave Ajax, so he stayed for another season. Chelsea has officially confirmed today that Ziyech will play for Chelsea from next season. The London team has paid more than 30 million pounds for Hakim.
