Achraf Hakimi generates a lot of transfer talk heading towards the summer window, with Arsenal and Chelsea said among his nagging, but Inter’s defender’s agent says no move has been considered yet.

Hakimi is very happy in Milan (Inter)

The high-rated 22-year-old only moved to San Siro in the summer of 2020, with a constant shift away from Real’s back-secured effective credit period of Dortmund’s Borussia Dortmund. A return to Santiago Bernabeu has also been discussed and Inter’s financial problems reportedly forced them to consider sales, but Milan’s focus is blocked for the time being and a Serie A title bid. Hakimi spokesman Alejandro Camano told Calciomercato about the speculation around his client: “As of today he is very happy to play for such an important club. I don’t know what the future holds, but today I say that Hakimi is happy and his team is Inter. The goal is to win Scudetto. After that, the Inter’s situation at the club level is difficult, but I repeat we are very happy here in terms of football.’ He has a five-year contract, we signed it because we were so confident in the Inter’s project. Let’s see what happens in the future, but this is a very important step in his career. We definitely do not intend to leave the team in such a delicate situation.”

The Morocco international saw its stock skyrocket after spending two seasons on loan at the Bundesliga giants Dortmund. He took over 73 appearances for the BVB, registering 12 goals and 17 assists, as a reputation has been established as one of the most prolific right-backs in world football. Impressive standards have been maintained at Inter, with six more goals and five assists, allowing his score to rise further. The Premier League naggers are said to be contemplating big money raids, but it won’t be easy or cheap to free Hakimi from a contract due to be awarded by 2025.

Hakimi decided to join Inter last season

The deal, which took the Madrid-born star from his roots in Real, was originally worth €40million (£35million / $47m), and if certain targets are defeated, another €5 million. Walking away from this deal 12 months later would have come as a surprise, especially since Inter has worked so hard to land a long-standing goal. Camano added: “The player made the decision to join Inter. Already two or three years ago Piero Ausilio spoke with us about the possibility of bringing him to Milan. After his period at Borussia Dortmund” this interest was renewed and Hakimi decided to come to Inter.
