Thomas Tuchel has suggested a surprise secret to Harry Kane’s sensational goalscoring form for Bayern Munich

Tuchel has challenged Kane to leave Jude Bellingham and Real Madrid with a bitter taste in their mouths after the Champions League showdown in the Bernabeu on Wednesday night. Asked if he had been surprised by any aspect of Kane’s debut season in Munich, Tuchel laughed: “How many cappuccinos he drinks a day.

“Every time I go into the kitchen, he is there. It must be so good. I have started doing it. He looks healthy and in good shape.” And Tuchel is frothing at the mouth over Kane’s form – he has an astonishing 44 goals across all competitions this season – and at the prospect of Kane leading Bayern to victory in Madrid.
Tuchel declared: “We got a big personality in our dressing room on top of a goalscorer and someone with the ability to handle pressure. But we knew that. He is the captain of England”.

“He has brought everything to the team that we could possibly have hoped for. [Against Real] he needs to prove the point and deliver.”

After a first-leg thriller finished two apiece, Real are favourites to reach the final at Wembley and Tuchel’s team are only too aware of the danger posed by Bellingham, the former Borussia Dortmund player. And Bayern skipper Manuel Neuer could not hide his admiration for the England star, saying: “We all know about Jude’s weaknesses and his strengths.

“We know he is a player capable of dragging up a whole team with his fighting spirit. For his club, he is playing in a more offensive position … (but) no-one could have expected he could score so many goals.

“Since he came to Real Madrid, he has been like a bomb.”

But Neuer also spoke glowingly about Kane, who scored a penalty against Real at the Allianz Arena despite being sledged by Bellingham. And Neuer said Kane could be the difference in what looks certain to be a momentous second leg.

The Bayern keeper went on: “Harry can be really important. He is able to score with any pass he receives. “We have a striker that makes our rivals be respectful. Not just with his goals but with his passing.

“We know he can make the difference.”
