Fabio Carvalho has received support to hit the ground with a run at Anfield next season.

What did the Englishman say about Fabio Carvalho?

English footballer Harvey Elliott has backed the world-class Portuguese player to make an instant impact when he moves to the Reds this summer. Fabio Carvalho will officially move to Anfield on 1 July when his Fulham contract expires, with Liverpool agreeing an £8m deal with Cottagers for the U21 player. It has been suggested that the teenager is seen as one to patiently nurture the future, but Harvey believes he could be an asset to the first team right away.

Harvey is well aware of Fabio’s talents, having played alongside the forward in the Cottagers youth team before he joined Klopp’s own team three years ago. The player is looking forward to reuniting with his former teammate and believes he will hit the ground running on Merseyside despite only having four PL appearances in his career so far. Harvey Elliott said that Fabio Carvalho is a great kid and also a great player so he doesn’t need to talk too much about him.

Harvey says he is confident Fabio will show them very quickly why Liverpool have signed him. Carvalho is a great player and Elliott thinks he will bring that flair to this team, such a young force in a way. The Englishman says that the Portuguese is one for the future, definitely. To be able to connect and reunite with him and, Harvey hopes, playing with him on the same court like in the old days, that would be great. Harvey hopes that they both can show each other why they deserve to play each other and share serve with each other.

A little about Fabio Carvalho

Fabio arrives at Anfield after a breakout season at Fulham where he scored 11 goals in 38 games in all competitions to help the Cottagers secure the league title. The player also earned his first call-up to the Portugal under-21s in March. When asked what Fabio’s strengths are, Harvey added that everything, to be honest. If he didn’t have everything, Liverpool wouldn’t have signed him. According to Harvey Elliott, Fabio Carvalho has a work ethic, he has the ability, the skill, the shooting, the dribbling.
