On May 25, BCCI tweeted some photos of Team India members and support staff, where they can be seen in the net kits. One thing caught everyone’s attention in the photo, that was a lookalike of James Anderson, who was mistaken for England’s Pacer. The photo went viral on social media, and the rumour spread that Team India had hired Jimmy as their bowling coach. Few got confused, but some took out the fun side of the similarities.

One user retweeted the photo and wrote, “Great decision from BCCI to appoint Jimmy Anderson as the bowling coach”. Actually, the person who went viral is a member of the Indian cricket team support staff. His name is Soham Desai, and he is the strength and conditioning coach for the squad.
He has been part of the team for more than a year and takes care of the fitness of the Indian cricketers who are in the squad. While the users on social media believed that he was James Anderson, India’s spinner Ravichandran Ashwin also decided to make a joke out of it and posted a story on his Instagram with Soham Desai’s photo where he was seen eating lunch and wrote, “Thanks Jimmy Anderson for helping us prepare for the final”.
Winner to get a big prize money
As we said, the WTC final will be held in London’s Oval Stadium from June 7 to 11. It will be live streamed on Hotstar, and the TV broadcast will be on Star Sports Network. Whichever team wins the final will be rewarded with the prize money of Rs 13.2 crore, while the loser team will get half the amount. Team India will be led by Rohit Sharma, while Pat Cummins will be leading Australia.
