At the end of 2020, Fox Sports Asia was polled by the Asian Football Confederation (FFA) as one of the best football players of the year in the region.
The best player in Asia in 2020 was named the South Korean national team and London Tottenham attacking midfielder Heung-Min Son. So, he won the prize for the fourth time in a row and the sixth in his career.
According to the organizers, Son received 35 percent of the vote. So, Son took first place with 286 points, which is a record. The second place was taken by the player of Zenit St. Petersburg, the Iranian Sardar Azmoun (89 points). The third place was taken by the Brazilian legionnaire Ulsan Hyundai, Junior Negrao (83).
It should be noted that the fourth position in the poll went to the Spanish midfielder of Vesel Kobe, Andres Iniesta. Andres scored 44 points.
This season, Hyun-Min Son has played 24 games in all competitions for Tottenham Hotspur and scored 15 goals.
