Huge jump in T20 rankings
India had registered a one-sided victory in the T20 series against Sri Lanka. The hero of this victory was Shreyas Iyer. This series was very special for Iyer. Iyer got a chance to bat in all three matches. In these three matches, Shreyas’s bat scored consecutive half-centuries.

Shreyas hit a hat-trick of half-centuries in this series. He scored an unbeaten 57 in the first T20 match, scored an unbeaten 74 in the second match and added an unbeaten 73 in the third match.
He became the fourth Indian batsman to hit a hat-trick of half-centuries in T20Is. Before Shreyas, Virat Kohli has done this work thrice, while KL Rahul has twice and Rohit Sharma has scored a hat-trick of half-centuries once. Shreyas was also adjudged Player of the Series for this strong performance.
