The ICC Test Championship is moving towards excitement, all the players are performing brilliantly to take their team to a good position in the points table.

The second edition of the ICC Test Championship started in 2021. In the first edition, New Zealand earned the first victory title by defeating India in the last.

Australia and Pakistan who performed poorly in the last edition are playing challenging and competitive cricket this year. Australia are at the first position with 56 points from 6 matches with four wins and 2 draws. Whereas Pakistan ranked second with 40 points from 5 matches with three wins, one loss and one draw.

Joe Root has scored 1008 runs in 18 innings, including 4 centuries and 4 half centuries in ICC Test Championship. In 2021, Joe Root played a brilliant and excellent innings of 180 runs against India at Lord’s Cricket Ground. Although Joe Root’s performance in The Ashes Series was pretty ordinary and disappointing.

Indian batsman KL Rahul comes at number three, scoring 541 runs in 14 innings. He has scored these runs with an average of 38.46; which includes 2 centuries and 2 half-centuries. His highest score is 129, which he scored in the second match of the tour of England.

England’s aggressive batsmen comes at number four. He picked a fine form in the last matches of the tour of Australia and he is taking advantage of this form to score as many runs as possible. He has scored 513 runs in 13 innings at an average of 44.31. This phase includes 2 centuries and 1 half century.

The interesting thing is that he has scored both the centuries outside of England.

India’s explosive wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant comes at number five. He has scored 517 runs in 16 innings at an average of 34.46. His highest score has been 100  and he has scored three half-centuries and one hundred.
