ICC World Test Championship 2021-23: Latest Ranking, Which Bowler have created record, Where Team India stands| Check All

Under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma, the Indian team cleaned up Sri Lanka with a 2-0 win in the 2-match Test series against Sri Lanka. Team India won the first Test match of this series in Mohali by an innings and 222 runs.

After hoisted his tricolour on the series after defeating Sri Lanka by 238 runs in the Day-Night Pink Ball Test match played at M Chinnaswamy Cricket Stadium in Bengaluru.

With this fresh win, the Indian team moved up to the fourth position in the points table of the ICC World Test Championship, 2021-23. Earlier, Team India was in the fifth position.

Another history was created in this series. Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin became the first bowler to score a century in the World Test Championship.

World Test Championship 2021-23

India has 77 points in the latest points table released by the ICC. And the percentile of the Indian team has become 58.33. Team India has played 4 Test series so far in the ‘ICC World Test Championship, 2021-23‘.

In which India has so far won 6 out of 12 matches and had 2 matches. One match was inconclusive. The Indian team had to face defeat in 3 test matches.

Before the Pink Ball Test match played against Sri Lanka in Bangalore, India’s percentile was 54.16 and Sri Lanka’s 66.66. After the loss in this match, Sri Lanka has now slipped to the fifth position. Earlier, Sri Lanka’s team was in the third position.  Now his percentile is only 50.

Australia is at the top of the points table for the ICC World Test Championship, 2021-23.  Pakistan is second and South Africa is in third place. Australia’s percentile is 77.77, Pakistan’s 66.66 and South Africa’s 60.

Now only 7 matches are left for Team India in WTC 2021-23. India has to play a match in England.  Two matches are to be played against Bangladesh. A 4-match test series is to be played against the visiting Australia team in India.

Significantly, in the 2-match Test series against Sri Lanka, Ravichandran Ashwin took the highest 12 wickets from the Indian team He first defeated Team India’s great all-rounder and former captain Kapil Dev and then former South African fast bowler Dale Steyn in this series.

After that, he took 6 wickets in the Pink Ball Test match played in Bangalore. Ravichandran Ashwin’s name became another big record as soon as he took 6 wickets.

Ravichandran Ashwin became the first bowler in the world to take 100 wickets in both the editions (2019-21 and 2021-23) of the ‘ICC World Test Championship, 2021-23‘.

He took the highest 71 wickets in the first edition of the WTC 2019-21  Were. And now, he has taken 29 wickets in the new edition of the ICC World Test Championship 2021-23.

The history of the World Test Championship shows that Ravichandran Ashwin has taken a total of 100 wickets in the matches played so far in the first and second seasons of this tournament.

After him in this list, Australia’s Pat Cummins 93 wickets, England’s Stuart Broad 83 wickets, New Zealand’s Tim Southee 80 wickets, Jasprit Bumrah 74 wickets.  And Nathan Lyon of Australia has taken 74 wickets.
