Cricket“If you give it, you gonna take it,” Warns Virat Kohli After Win Over LSG

The script of what happened yesterday between RCB and LSG was written two weeks ago at Chinnaswamy. One can go back and see what happened there, the missed mankad, the keep your mouth shut expression from Gautam Gambhir, the overly animated victory celebration of Avesh Khan throwing his helmet on the turf.

Something was brewing inside the RCB camp, it was the desperation and pressing feeling to give back what they received two weeks ago. It is clear that something happened between Virat Kohli and Naveen Ul Haq, but not entirely clear what went through.

Defending 127, RCB bowlers did a fantastic job but LSG will have only themselves to blame for. Their reckless attitude on a slow surface cost them the match. With every wicket, LSG sank low and Virat Kohli didn’t leave the opportunity to give back all the expressions his team received when LSG came to Chinnaswamy.

When Krunal Pandya got out to Glenn Maxwell, Kohli took the catch at long off and gave the expression keep your mouth shut. A few overs later, he gave the blowing kiss expression in return. It was chain of events, things were quite heated from the get go.

Even when the match was over, RCB had registered the win, it appeared that two gangs were facing each other before some kind of fight. LSG players were trying to calm down Gautam Gambhir and RCB players were trying to hold back Virat Kohli who wasn’t looking calm at all.

At one moment, Virat Kohli was having a conversation with Kyle Mayers, and suddenly GG came and took away Mayers as if he’s not allowed to have a conversation. It does look quite tensed but at the same time, quite childish too.

Two absolute good gamers are fighting for bragging rights of a particular moment, never good for cricket. That’s why IPL  reprimanded the unprofessional behaviour from both sides and fined the involved trio of Virat Kohli, Gautam Gambhir and Naveen Ul Haq.

The official page of RCB posted a video of the dressing room conversation and Virat Kohli was quite expressive about his mood after this win. He said, “That’s a sweet win boys. That’s how we play bold. If you give it, you gonna take it, otherwise don’t give it.”

“It was a really important win on the road for us. The fact that we got more support than the home crowd is an unbelievable feeling. Tells you all about how much we are liked as a team and and how people come out and back us.”

“And its a very sweet win. Feels very good for many reasons, but most importantly for the kind of character we showed defending that total,” Kohli concluded.
