Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made a bold transfer claim that Leicester center-back Jonny Evans wants to rejoin Manchester United.

Evans

Solskjaer came up with a seemingly absolute thought about Evans ahead of the FA quarterfinals trip to King Power Stadium. United have been scouting for a center-back to partner Harry Maguire and Evans might be an ideal player. The Norwegian says that he is “sure” Evans still wants to rejoin the Old Trafford outfit.

“You know, Jonny Evans should have been a Manchester United player now, of course,” Solskjaer said.

“But sometimes football takes you other places when changes in management happen. I’m sure that Jonny Evans has feelings for Manchester United and we have feelings for him too,” he stated.

“So it is a pleasure to see him playing as well as he does and we just have to move on,” he added.

“But of course, local lads – I call them local lads, you know what I mean. We want to build our next youth team on players like Jonny Evans if you like,” he continued.

Evans won three English Premier League titles with United and a taste of the club would still interest him. There have been rumors Linking Evans and the Red Devils in the past, but nothing materialized.

Meanwhile,  Solskjaer was disappointed after the Foxes eased past them in the FA quarter-finals clash at King Power stadium. The former United strike expressed his disappointment says the busy week might have caused them.

“Of course, we’re disappointed we’re out but probably it’s just the sum of all the factors and all the games we’ve played lately all the injuries.

“I don’t want to make excuses, but I try to find an explanation and an explanation is we had a few players coming back who have not really trained a lot.”

He added that his players have played a lot and lacked a little zip and energy while have not been there. He admits united conceded easy goals.

“We conceded easy goals we don’t normally concede and it’s difficult against a good team like Leicester,” the 48-year-old said.

The FA semi-finals will continue with Chelsea facing Manchester city while Leicester takes on Southampton.
