The first test of the two-match Test series between Team India and Sri Lanka was played at the IS Bindra Cricket Stadium of the Punjab Cricket Association in Mohali.

On the third day of the Mohali Test, Team India beat Sri Lanka by another 222 runs to take a 1-0 lead in the series. In the second innings, the entire Sri Lankan team was all out after scoring just 178 runs in 60 overs.

In the second innings, Niroshan Dickwella scored the highest unbeaten 51 runs for Sri Lanka. In the second innings, Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin took four wickets each for Team India.

Including both the innings, Jadeja took 9 wickets. Sri Lanka’s entire innings was reduced to just 174 runs in the first innings on the third day.

India had given the follow-on. In the first innings, Pathum Nisanka scored the highest unbeaten 61 runs for Sri Lanka. Earlier, Team India captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to bat first. The Indian team has entered the field with three spinners in this match.

IND vs SL 1st Test Match

Meanwhile, Team India had declared the first innings against Sri Lanka by scoring 574 for 8 wickets. Ravindra Jadeja remained unbeaten on 175 off 228 balls. This is the best score of his Test career. Ravindra Jadeja and Mohammed Shami added 103 not out for the 9th wicket. Hit 17 fours and three sixes.

Suranga Lakmal, Vishwa Fernando and Lasith Embuldeniya took two wickets each for Sri Lanka. The second and last Test between Team India and Sri Lanka will be played in Bengaluru from March 12.
