The second and final match of the two-match Test series between India and Sri Lanka (India vs Sri Lanka 2nd Test) is being played at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

In this day-night test match, 100 per cent of spectators were allowed to enter the stadium. During Sri Lanka’s second innings on the second day of the match, some spectators entered the field and one of the lucky fans even managed to take a selfie with Virat Kohli.

However, that fan may now find it costly to take a selfie with Virat because the Bangalore Police has now started acting in this matter.

According to media reports, the Bangalore Police has registered an FIR in this case against the fans who had entered the ground. After the incident, the Bangalore Police has registered a case against the four youths.

Pictures with Virat Kohli

Police said that the four youths who were caught were thrown out of the stadium at the same time. He further said that an FIR has been registered against these youths at Cubbon Park police station. One of the arrested accused is from Kalaburagi and others from Bangalore.

They will now be produced in the court. The police have registered a case against these youths for violating the security protocol. The police have registered a case against them under IPC sections 447 (criminal violation), 269 (negligent act causing deadly infectious disease).

What happened in the match?

The incident happened in the sixth over of Sri Lanka’s second innings when Kusal Mendis was being given medical aid after being hit by Mohammed Shami. During this, 3-4 fans came inside the field and started running towards the players.

One of them managed to get close to Kohli who was fielding at slips. Meanwhile, the fan took out his mobile and asked Kohli to take a selfie. Fan’s happiness knew no bounds when Kohli agreed to the selfie.

The security personnel then ran towards the players and after some effort was successful in controlling the fans. Even during the first Test in Mohali, a fan was able to enter the ground.
