IND vs WI

On a pitch where due was bound to come in the second innings, Rohit Sharma won an important toss and elected to bowl first.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar sent Brandon Kings back to the hut in the very first over of the innings, however, Kyle Matters put on a sensational display of power-hitter at the other end and gave the team a solid start in the power play.

However, West Indies lost momentum when Yuzvendra Chahal and Ravi Bishnoi were put into the attack after the power play overs. The duo bowled with discipline and managed to pick the vital wickets of Kyle Mayers, Roston Chase (4), and Rovman Powell (2 off 3). Nicholas Pooran, however, later played a brilliant knock of 61 runs in 43 balls. Kieron Pollard too remained unbeaten on 24 off 19 as West Indies managed to score 157 runs in the first innings.

Ravi Bishnoi, playing his debut match, managed to return with figures of 2 for 17. Harshal Patel too picked 2 wickets but conceded 37 runs in his four overs. In response to the score, Rohit Sharma gave the team a flying start. He dealt with only boundaries and consumed only 19 balls for his 40-run knock, helping the team reach the 50-run mark inside the power play. He got out in the 8th over and India lost a bit of momentum after that.

Ishan Kishan (35 off 43) struggled to get going, while Virat Kohli (17 off 13), once again, failed to convert the start into a big score. Suryakumar Yadav (34 off 18) and Venkatesh Iyer (24 off 13) then stitched an unbeaten 48-run partnership to guide the team home in 18.5 overs.
