Corona alarm in Lazio, Rome! The Italian club left for Belgium to play the second round match of the Champions League without four players – before the match with Bruges, all four were confirmed to have Covid-19.

The list of infected players includes team leader and main goalscorer Ciro Immobile. Also, the coronavirus has been confirmed by Manuel Lazzari, Djavan Anderson and Luis Alberto. In addition to them, Lazio are missing eight more players due to injuries or other reasons. In the end, Lazio have only 16 players on the list for the match against Bruges.

“Of course, we did not expect such a situation. “We had a very good start in the Champions League, and I wanted to have a fighting squad with Bruges as well,” Roma head coach Simone Inzaghi told a pre-match press conference.

Recall that in the first round Lazio defeated Borussia Dortmund 3: 1 and will play Bruges today. In a parallel match, Dortmund will host Zenit St. Petersburg.
