There are only a few weeks left for the 15th season of the IPL to start. This season will provide some exciting cricket with some players leaving their old franchises and joining new ones.

The veteran MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings have started their preparations for the upcoming season. CSK has a massive and enthusiastic fan base.

The first match of IPL 2022 will be played between Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders on 26 March. Dhoni’s team is currently doing their practice session in Surat.

Chennai Super Kings has shared a video from their Twitter account, in which CSK players are constantly trying to play big shots and that is a pleasing and incredible sight.

Chennai Super Kings tweeted and wrote, “Ground zero, The best view ever.”

CSK is currently doing its practice at Lala Bhai Contractor Stadium in Surat. According to media reports, Chennai has decided to practise in Surat only because the soil here is similar to the soil of the ground in Mumbai, where Chennai has to play its matches.

The league stage matches of IPL 2022 will be played at four stadiums – Wankhede Stadium and Cricket Club of India in Mumbai, DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai and Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune.

CSK has included Deepak Chahar in their team in the IPL auction after spending a hefty amount of 14 crores, but he has picked an injury just before the start of the league. Now the good news for CSK is that Deepak Chahar may be available for selection by mid-April.

According to the Times of India news, Deepak Chahar has refused to undergo surgery, he is currently in rehab for 8 weeks at NCA. It is expected that he can join the team by mid-April.

In IPL 2022, Chennai Super Kings will face their second match on 31 March against Lucknow Supergiants, third on 3 April against Punjab Kings, fourth on 9 April against Sunrisers Hyderabad, fifth on 12 April against Royal Challengers Bangalore, sixth on 17 April against Gujarat Titans, seventh against Mumbai Indians on 21st April.
