In his 192 matches, Dhawan has hit 654 fours so far. He will become the first player to hit 700 fours in the next season. This season, Dhawan has the ability to the most fours and can touch the figure of 700 fours first.
He had hit 63 fours in the last season. Dhawan, on the other hand, has hit 124 sixes so far and can overtake Brendon McCullum (130) this season.
Dhawan has so far scored two centuries in his IPL career. He can equal AB de Villiers (3) by scoring another century. So far only six players have scored three or more centuries in the league.
Dhawan has scored 44 fifties so far and he is the Indian to score the most fifties. He would like to complete his 50 half-centuries in the coming season. Only David Warner (50) has scored more half-centuries than Dhawan.
Dhawan is the only batsman in the history of IPL to score two consecutive centuries. He scored two consecutive centuries against Chennai Super Kings and Punjab Kings (then Kings XI Punjab) in IPL 2020.
Before 2018, people criticised him for his low strike rate. Since 2018 and joining Delhi again, he performed very well as a senior player who guided the team to victory in a number of key matches.
