IPL 2022 Playoffs

Magical numbers say that there are 75% chances that a never won before team will win the IPL trophy this year. Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants had their inception this year and Royal Challengers Bangalore came close to memorable victory in 2016 but missed their golden chance. All three are in the IPL 2022 playoffs and certain to claim their first title victory.

Rajasthan Royals had their hands on trophy under the leadership of the great Shane Warne in the very first season of the IPL. In current match ups and settings, Gujarat Titans appears to be strongest contender for title. A well balanced team that has throughout witnessed match winning individual performances. Rashid, Shami, Dayal and Ferguson have played their part sufficiently till now as the team reached IPL 2022 playoffs. Still, if three of them gets going in final or qualifier then the team will be on top. Also, one of the opener has to play the anchor role so Hardik Pandya can play his natural game. He is highest scoring player for Gujarat Titans.

Mumbai Indians gave an offside chance to Royal Challengers Bangalore with a comprehensive victory over Delhi Capitals. For RCB, Wanindu Hasaranga and Harshal Patel will have take responsibility as they have done in prior matches. Josh Hazlewood has been on of the best in the business and in batting line-up, with Virat Kohli back in form, the team looks in premium touch and they will believe that luck is in their side as they entered in IPL 2022 playoffs.

Bowling arsenal was the moving force for all teams that have found their place in the playoffs. Lucknow Super Giants is well balanced and penetrating fast bowling attack. However, they have missed the trick by not using Marcus Stoinis in the batting order in proper position. As it appears, LSG is superb contender to play the finals.

Rajasthan Royals have played like Royals in this season but their batting seems be less and less potent with Jos Buttler running out of form. He hasn’t switched big in the last four matches but now, the situations demands his excellency and no doubt he can do it. Alone, he is capable of turning the match upside down regardless of what bowling attack he faces. On the other hand, Sanju Samson has to stand up and play a significant role in the final phases.
