The Spurs splashed out £50m on the Everton striker, but former Gunners midfielder Jack Wilshere claims Richarlison would only be a backup on the other side in north London. Conte are solidifying their ranks at Tottenham after their local rivals went to fourth place in the PL last season to qualify for the Champions League. A proven PL performer at Goodison Park quickly emerged as a top target, following reports of Arsenal’s interest in the Brazilian at one stage, but Jack suggested Richarlison would not make Arteta’s starting XI at Emirates Stadium.

The English footballer spoke about taking on Richarlison with Spurs, that he thinks he improves the squad, definitely he gives them something different. According to Jack Wilshere, he wouldn’t say he’s gutted Richarlison isn’t signed to Arsenal. He’s 25, so he’s not young. There comes a point when they have to turn that potential into something, but if anyone can, it’s Antonio Conte.

Jack wouldn’t say he’s devastated as an Arsenal fan, but Richarlison might be one to watch, he might be really good. Pressed on whether he would like Richarlison at Arsenal, Jack added that yes, he doesn’t think he’s in the XI. Wilshere says that Richarlison will definitely challenge and be a good part of the team, but Jack doesn’t think he will make the XI.

Another Brazilian player, Martinelli, is also an option, while Smith Rowe and Odegaard provide additional creativity.

Brazil international Richarlison would add depth to those ranks as questions continue to be raised about how long Nicolas Pepe will hang out in north London, but there has been talk of the Gunners targeting other options on the wing after seemingly , dropped Leeds star Raphinha into London neighbors Chelsea.
