When asked if he would be in the Ashes team, McCullum told reporters: “Yes, he will be here.”
“They’re both smiling. How cool is he? Those guys are exceptional cricketers. They could finish whenever they wanted and they were still considered greats of the game.
“What they’re doing is continuing to build the legacy they’re going to leave for the next generation – the amount of time they’re giving other people in the dressing room is phenomenal,” McCullum said.
“Things that you don’t see behind the scenes. The time, effort, and confidence they’re putting into other people is really quite remarkable.”

Australia pacer Mitchell Starc was impressed by the prospect of facing the England pair next year.
“I certainly wouldn’t bowl at 40,” he told reporters in Sydney on Wednesday.
“I’ll see it with Josh (Hazelwood) at the pub, maybe … His record speaks for itself.
“They are incredibly talented, incredibly skilled players.”
McCullum also praised Captain Stokes fiercely. “His own game is phenomenal, his leadership qualities are amazing and he goes through brick walls for the side, as we have seen with some of his bowling spells,” McCullum said.
“I thought he would be good as a leader, but I didn’t know he would be as good as he is.”
