Jesse Lingard Will leave Manchester United on a Free Transfer when his Contract Ends Next Month

Lingard began his career at United and has spent more than 20 years at the club, although he has faded from prominence in recent seasons.

Despite excelling at the London Stadium, he struggled to enhance his playing time at United last season, starting only two times in the Premier League.

As a result, the midfielder is set to leave the Old Trafford when his contract expires next month.

United praised the player on their website after he announced his departure, presenting a video of his finest highlights and stating, “It was all a dream.”

‘Manchester United can announce that Jesse Lingard will depart the club at the end of June when his contract expires”.

“Jesse has been with United for almost 20 years, having started with our Under-9s squad in 2001. He is an Academy graduate and a true Red”.

“We’d want to take this time to thank Jesse for all of the memories he’s helped make over the course of his two decades here, and we wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors.’

“Lingard’s extended tenure with his childhood club ended on a bad note last month, when his brother slammed United for failing to give him a proper send-off at the conclusion of the season, branding them “classless.”

’20 years of work, blood, and tears, four domestic trophies, three cup final goals, and no farewell.’ On Instagram, his brother Scott stated, “It’s no surprise it’ll be Conference League next year.”

‘Busby Babes, Class of 92, you’re run by folks who haven’t even heard of the offside trap.’ It’s shabby, and the fans should be aware.

‘I’ve been there since I was nine years old and have never had a proper send-off!!! ‘Way to you, bro; your family is proud of you.’

Lingard was a man reborn at West Ham in the later stages of the 2020-21 season, scoring nine goals and contributing four assists, and he appeared destined to stay with David Moye’s side, but he ended up returning to United for the next season.

However, he did not experience an increase in playing time this season, with his first start coming in the Carabao Cup in September.

‘For a youngster who entered the Academy at 16 to make over 200 United appearances and win the Youth Cup, as well as two big pieces of silverware – not to mention the World Cup at the international level – is something to be acknowledged and cherished,’ they continued.

‘Everyone at Manchester United wishes to congratulate Paul on his distinguished career and thank him for his services to the club.’

‘We wish him all the best as he continues on this incredible path.’

With a clapping hand emoji, United tweeted, “Once a red, always a red” and “thank you for your service @PaulPogba.”

‘I feel honored to have played for this club,’ Pogba said with a video of some of his career highlights on Instagram.

‘Many great moments and memories, but most importantly, the fans’ unwavering support.’ Thank you very much.’
