Jesse Lingard will be Remembered ‘for his TikTok videos’ and NOT for his Football Career.

Simon Jordan slams Jesse Lingard for “flushing” three years of his career to the benefit of his “wage packet” as he adds the player will be remembered for off-field antics.

Last month, Lingard quit Manchester United after his contract expired. It was the conclusion of his 11-year tenure at the club, during which he won the FA Cup, League Cup, and Europa League. Despite his accomplishments, Jordan believes that Lingard has squandered a significant portion of his recent career.

He stated, ‘he has wasted three years of his career by refusing to accept that he is not considered highly enough at Manchester United to make their team.”He had a chance to move to West Ham. But he made it about money. He has run down his contract in order to leave on a free contract, as he is aware that this will increase his salary to a particular level’.

The 29-year-old has also had a successful international career. He has scored six goals in 32 games for England, including a memorable goal against Panama in the 2018 World Cup. 

In 2021, Lingard had an outstanding loan stint with the Hammers, scoring nine goals in 16 appearances. There was speculation that he would return to the London stadium, but according to reports, he is now being connected with a move to the MLS.

Jordan continued, “I will remember Jesse Lingard for his TikTok videos.”

On occasion, the midfielder was criticized for his social media use and elaborate TikTok-inspired celebrations.

At his peak, Lingard demonstrated that he was a skilled player with a penchant for scoring outstanding goals in crucial matches. The midfielder may still have much to give in the remainder of his career, regardless of where he winds up.
