Joe Root has embraced Team England for a spectacular victory over Team India. The last time England played in the T20 World Cup final, Root was part of the team and so was Ben Stokes.

Players from all over England have shared their reaction to this memorable win. Jos Buttler and Co lost the T20 series at home a few months ago and there was a lot of doubt about whether Buttler would be able to maintain the dominance.

“This is another opportunity to do something really special as a group,” said Joe Root, who was part of the England team that won the 2019 World Cup at Lord’s and lost the 2016 T20 World Cup final in Kolkata. These experiences can really bring you together as a team.

You learn from them, the mistakes you make, and you learn from the day. This opportunity is not new to you at all. “I found that going into 2019, so it’s good to have it in the bank. It’s a really good place for the team and I’m really excited [to see them].

Joe Root said, “It was a great performance against India. I think we’re starting to peak at the right time. As a team performance, you can’t really ask for more in the semi-finals. It was extraordinary to face the pressures of a game of that magnitude and perform like this.

“Credit to Joss for being able to get us to the top at the right time. He looks very happy within himself and you can see that in his performances and the players around him.

Matthew Mott has been England’s revolutionary coach. When she coached the Australian women’s team, she made it to the final.England will now face Pakistan in the 2022 World Cup final. The last time these two teams came face-to-face was in 1992 but it was a different occasion, the 50-over World Cup.
