Liverpool defenders Trent Alexander-Arnold and Joel Matip are going to miss upcoming matches for up to three weeks due to injuries.

Arnold, who is also England’s right-back, has an ankle injury, while Joel Matip, who plays as a center-back, has a calf issue. The duo played against Arsenal in a match that ended 3-2 in favor of the premier league leaders – Arsenal.

Liverpool has six matches until the end of October. These matches include thei home match against the premier league champions, Manchester City. In a season that seems tough to Liverpool, Jurgen Klopp’s boys have to do unimaginable to reduce the 14 points gap between them and the winners.

As Liverpool aims at redeeming themselves from the 10th position, Arthur Melo, Naby Keita, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are among the missing midfielders due to thigh injuries. However, Curtis Jones comes as a rescue to Liverpool’s porous defense after being reported to be back in training and expected to play against Rangers on Wednesday.
